Viña Edén

THE PROBLEM

For Viña Edén’s Pinot Noir, the label needed to communicate premium quality at first glance while conveying the wine’s origin. The challenge was to create an elegant design with a strong presence, bringing the vineyard and the winery building into the composition as distinctive expressions of the brand. A technical requirement shaped the approach: the illustration had to work in just two printing colors.

THE STRATEGIC DECISION

We made the wine’s actual landscape the foundation of its visual identity. After visiting the vineyard and winery and documenting them through photography and video, we developed an original illustration capturing the vineyard rows, the topography, and the contemporary architecture integrated into its surroundings.

An engraving-inspired linework style translated this landscape into a two-color illustration. We explored black with brown and black with green, ultimately choosing black and brown for its warmth and classic character. The vineyard’s perspective guides the eye toward the winery, while restrained, confident typography gives VIÑA EDÉN a central role and anchors the composition.

THE RESULT

A distinctive label that communicates premium character through a story rooted in place. The original illustration turns the vineyard and winery into recognizable brand assets, balancing the classic appeal of fine wine labels with a contemporary identity connected to the local landscape.
